The award ceremony, held on January 22 at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei, recognized 98 companies for their outstanding AI applications. Senior officials from the National Development Council and the Ministry of Digital Affairs attended the event, commending the winners' AI transformation achievements and highlighting Taiwan's growing AI integration across industries.
The company employs smart environmental monitoring systems and AI-powered image recognition to assess broiler growth, optimizing breeding management with precision. This enables better supply chain and slaughter scheduling, proactive market positioning, reduced waste across production and sales, and enhanced operational efficiency.
Despite over a century in business, Fwusow faces unique modernization challenges—some equipment has been operational for 30-40 years, making upgrades difficult, while geographically dispersed facilities have created data silos. Since 2018, the company has pursued comprehensive AI-driven transformation, systematically evaluating and upgrading factories, production lines, and equipment. Through intelligent monitoring, automated packaging and palletizing, and strategic planning, Fwusow is advancing its digital evolution to tackle critical industry challenges, including an aging workforce and fragmented information systems.
