We gather the latest food-related domestic and international laws and regulations based on the requirements issued from the stakeholders, and relay the information to the relevant business units for implementation to ensure all food safety requirements are executed to meet and comply with international and local standards.
  • In 2023, there was a labeling error on the trans fat content of our rapeseed oil product, resulting in a fine of NT$40,000 from the health authorities. We have corrected the packaging labels, reviewed our manufacturing processes and inspection criteria, and recalled all affected products to comply with regulatory standards. The health authorities have approved our corrective actions.
  • Fwusow Hsin, Charming Food, and Won Gee Sheng have not violated any food safety regulations.
Fwusow Industry
  • As of the end of 2023, we have adopted a total of 229 regulations, including 202 domestic regulations (103 of which are laboratory regulations) and 27 international regulations, covering 100% of our product range. Newly enacted regulations primarily include updates to 3 laboratory testing methods and 6 revisions to TAF documents, totaling 9 items. Regulatory analysis discussions occur monthly at the ISO Implementation Committee, totaling 12 meetings.
  • The amendment to the 'Sanitation Standard for Contaminants and Toxins in Food' has deeply impacted us, especially regarding the specification for glycidyl fatty acid esters (GEs) in edible oils. We have established standard procedures to ensure our products comply with the new limits. Additionally, we have adjusted our processes and conducted employee training in response to amendments to the 'Sanitation Standard for Natural Edible Colorants' and ‘guidelines on compliance with Good Hygiene Practices for Food, GHP’.
Charming Food
In 2023, Charming Food held a total of 10 Food Safety Control Committee meetings, focusing on discussions and decisions regarding raw materials, on-site equipment and processes, and legal regulations, encompassing all product items.
These meetings involved the collection and discussion of 12 regulations, primarily addressing adjustments such as revised inspection methods, limits on veterinary drugs/pesticide residues, and requirements related to product traceability.
 
Fwusow Hsin
Fwusow Hsin complied with a total of 60 domestic laws and regulations in 2023, ensuring all sales activities were conducted in accordance with legal requirements.
 
Won Gee Sheng
Won Gee Sheng adhered to 13 laws and regulations, also complying with legal mandates.
